I hope all of you are enjoying some wonderful summer weather! Here in Alaska we are finally having some gorgeous summer days…with temps in the 60s and 70s…which is HOT for us! Love this weather…fingers crossed that it lasts a bit longer!

So…have you all been having lots of crafty fun? I know I have been…playing with all the goodies that Kat sent me. First let me show you this paper mache heart I altered.

Yep…I used my favorite rolled rose to decorate it…so pretty!

You can head on over to my Youtube channel (AKCaraboo) to see how I applied the tissue paper to that heart. Super simple and I use it on lots of altered projects…this heart, composition books etc. It’s one of my favorite things to do because it makes the item look so vintage and distressed.

You can also find all my DT goodies from Kat in a video on my channel. In that video I mention how I think her adorable new cork embellishments would work in my art journal. Guess what they do…check this out!

I was feeling like creating a collage and those heart borders worked perfectly in my creation.

Cindy Johnson-Anderson

I’m a wife of 20 years to the most supportive and loving Husband and Daddy. We have 3 beautiful children Emily 19, Bradley 16, and Aubrianna 11.I own and operate a website that is all about creating and sharing our passion for crafting and scrapbooking.

I started scrapbooking in 2006 with layouts. I started sketching life and writing poetry early teen years, then made jewelry in my early 20′s then from there I started oil paintings (landscapes and abstracts).

I still love all those things but my true passion is “Craftbooking”.   I love to build things from chipboard. I also love making mini albums, embellishments, altered art, jewelry, and so much more. I don’t know that I have a particular style but I do love bling. I am also goofy and love to have fun. I think laughter is the best medicine.
