Summer Fun and Welcoming a Baby

Hey Everyone

So July has been a very busy month for me. So many exiting things happening from school to Kat Scrappiness to new editions to my family!

My nephew and his wife just had a beautiful baby girl. I decided to make her a card to add to her gift. I used the sweet and delicate baby giraffe from Kat Scrappiness. The giraffe was a perfect choice for the card. I decided to go all pink. I used Pink American Crafts cardstock and I lined the background with girly paper from a baby stack.  I placed a doily  from my stash and colored it with Lindy’s and MS Acrylic paint  in gold and baby pink paint. In the middle of the doily  I placed the Kat Scrappiness giraffe in the center of it pulling it all together. The bottom has a small lace ribbon and Stampin’ Up yellow ball trim. To end the card I stamped the sentiments and add all of our favorite half back pearls in burnt yellow.

My second project is a scrapbook layout. I decided to use a summer time layout. I took a photo of my niece and my nephew at a pool party having so much fun. The inspiration for this layout came from the Kat Scrappiness Seahorse in yellow. As soon as I saw the seahorse I knew I need to use in my design. So I used paper from Imaginisce  and did some layering with border strips. I placed the yellow seahorse on the side of the photo to give some texture to all the layering. The layout  is tilted  “Summer Fun”. I love everything about this layout.

Thanks  so much for stopping by and be sure to join the giveaway for your chance to win a Lawn Fawn stamp set of you choice from Kat Scrappiness.

Sincerely,

Rachel
